Condensed version

We finished school early enough to go to town for lunch. The weather was uncertain though and we couldn’t chance sitting outside at Castle Gardens so instead we went to the Pink Flamingo for burgers – more expensive than Sally’s but very nice. I had promised the boys a soda in a can for lunch as part of our science experiment, which was to observe condensation. We didn’t hover in town for too long – Nick and I walked up to the rest of town for a few bits and pieces, leaving the boys to play in the Mule Yard. In the afternoon we went to get my camera cleaned at a photographer who lives directly across the road from the Knollcombes Chapel; or rather, his driveway starts opposite the chapel and ends about a mile inland (literally). He and his wife live on a beautiful huge property in a 1700s mansion.
