Moonlight'n'photos

We had a combined church service in town this afternoon. We’ve been having the monthly combined services in the country chapels since the rockfall, but it was good to have it in town again as it meant we could easily do a tea afterwards. Nick preached the second part of his Romans 9 message which he started last Sunday. It is not an easy portion to preach but Nick put it across very well. After the tea and clean-up we dropped off our passenger, came home, got changed, collected our camera gear, organized the boys and then were off again – first to drop off the boys for babysitting, then across to St Paul’s Cemetery. We met up with three more photographers to do a night shoot of the cemetery – although it was cold and windy, the conditions were ideal. We started at 6 pm to take advantage of the sunset; it wasn’t long after the colours had faded from the western sky that we noticed shadows on the ground again from the brilliant moonlight. The cemetery is large enough for us to wander around and generally not get in the way of each other’s shots. It was really good fun and a good experience. Afterwards we met up at Mike’s house (which has a driveway approximately a mile long which takes 2 minutes to travel) where we could all have a quick viewing of each other’s photos. Very educational to see the amazing results from the others!

Okay, I just wanted my name in lights!! Below: one of Nick's best ones which I thought was fabulous.
