4 years later

It was on 6 October 2005 that we arrived on St Helena – overwhelmed at finding ourselves, at last, on this beautiful island after several months of preparation and anticipation. And now we are only months away from departing its shores. It will be a bittersweet goodbye on 23 December…we will miss the people, the lifestyle, and the grandeur of the scenery, but we are also very much looking forward to the next chapter – the New Zealand chapter, which we hope will be many pages long.

The boys were looking over some of the toys and things we’ve brought over from the manse, and they brought the gyroscope through with a ‘what’s this thing’ question. It’s been tucked away in a manse cupboard for more than a year and they had forgotten all about it. They had some fun rediscovering it!
