Sunday with a difference

Now this is what Sundays are all about! Attended Honeyridge Baptist Church in the morning where it was a blessing to catch up with the church family. The guest preacher works for OM and delivered a rousing New Year’s message, urging the congregation to reconsecrate themselves for the Lord’s service in 2010. For lunch all my parents’ offspring and spouses and offspring (ie my two brothers with families) and my aunt gathered together – from the original couple who married 39 years, there is now a family of 13! We managed to get everyone together for a family photo which was quite an achievement considering how many of the number dislike having their picture taken. By about 4.15 the afternoon was drawing to a close as the family units went home; the Clevelys left at 4.30 for the drive to Pretoria to attend Constantia Park Baptist Church which we attended until going to St Helena. Nick was the pastor-in-training there and I was the church secretary. Again, we were thoroughly blessed to be in the service and welcomed by our spiritual family. After church we went with Brahm and Antoinette to a new little shopping mall for pizza – so wonderful to chat with them and see what the Lord is doing in and through them!
