Ons was daaaaaar by Nieuw Muckleneuk gewees

Nick and I went on our mission this morning: Mission Get Visas in Passports. We used my dad's GPS tracker to navigate us to Nieuw Muckleneuk (what a great name for a suburb - really lends itself to a certain pronunciation) in Pretoria. We were first there, having arrived about a minute after they opened at 9 am. Waited a few minutes for the receptionist to organize herself, then handed her our passports and covering letter. "Three working days", she said, with no room for argument or pleas for the process to happen faster. So now wait some more, but we give God thanks that we have an idea of where we are now in the waiting game - we are praying that He will get us to NZ in time for Nick's planned induction service next Saturday, the 20th. Back home within two hours, and the rest of the day was spend at home. I helped the boys make hand puppets from discarded shoulder pads and buttons and they in turn treated us to a show. We played a fair amount of Rummikub during which Caleb established himself as the undisputed champion, winning four times in a row (and we weren't holding back). Even Aaron played unaided and did very well. Nick got himself invited to a bachelor's party in the evening which involved ten-pin bowling and pizza, and the rest of us enjoyed an outdoor supper and a microlight flight.
(Apologies to the 5ws for the Afrikaans title - it's a South African thing!)
