Camp-out, day 2

Woke up late to a pancake breakfast, after which Matt took Josh to tennis (Aaron accompanied them and got in some use as a ballboy). Rachel teaches horseriding and showjumping, and had a lesson at the same time, so Nick and I kept an eye on the Calebs. After Matt was back he took us to some garage sales where we picked up, ridiculously cheaply, two mattresses, one wardrobe, one large carpet, a wheelbarrow, garden implements, a coal bucket, some corningware, a cookbook, and a few bowls. Awesome. Then we went to a furniture shop where we had seen "THE table" a few days after arriving in Timaru. It's a mahogany 10-seater diningroom table which was marked down quite severely as they had used it as their Christmas display table. Initially we couldn't believe the price and Nick really wanted it, but being quite big we couldn't buy it until we knew the size of the place we were renting. As things happened, 22 MacDonald Street has a large diningroom area, so off we went to buy the thing. We are awfully pleased with it and looking forward to happy meals around it with lots of guests! After lunch Nick and I left the boys with their buddies and went shopping at the Warehouse, where we bought most of our bedding requirements and a few boxes of flat-pack furniture. So much fun to shop like newly-weds! We were wished well in our relocation by a couple of shoppers who observed our purchases and asked about the move - we are finding Timaru to be a very friendly town. Late afternoon once we had unloaded our goodies at the church (lots of storage space there), Nick joined Matt in some male-bonding-wood-chopping. Yeah, chainsaws!!

Does Toby need some toothpaste?
